国際シンポジウム「転換期におけるエイジング：オランダの経験に学ぶ」開催

GLAFS主催・オランダ大使館共催の国際シンポジウム「転換期におけるエイジング：オランダの経験に学ぶ」が10月29日、本郷キャンパス工学部第11号館講堂にて開催されました。第1セッションのテーマは「地域における虚弱高齢者のケア：新たな考え方」 Rudi Westendorp先生とJacques Allegro先生による報告──健康とバイタリティ（生きる意欲）の相関や、近隣関係を近代的に再構築する必要性についてのお話から始まりました。続いて、オランダの民間在宅ケア組織Buurtzorg（ビュートゾルフ）の創設者であるJos de Blok氏から、「Buurtzorg: 持続可能なコミュニティケアモデル」と題して、その組織や理念を、労働政策研究・研修機構の堀田聡子氏から、オランダのケア提供体制の変遷におけるBuurtzorgの位置づけ、Buurtzorgから得られるさまざまな示唆について提起していただきました。第2セッションは「アクティブ＆ヘルシー・エイジングのための革新的な考え方とテクノロジー」。 Gerjan Navis先生から、「生活改善のためのコンセプト」として、ヘルシーエイジングという概念が臨床医学にもたらしたインパクトや、臨床医学には公衆衛生や予防医学との協働が不可欠であることなどをご報告いただいたほか、オランダの大学、企業、医療分野を代表する方々から、プレゼンテーションが行われました。各セッションの終わりには、報告をめぐって登壇者とフロアによるディスカッションが活発に行われ、非常に刺激的なシンポジウムとなりました。

2014 International Symposium“Aging in Transition: The Dutch Experience”

The 2014 International Symposium “Aging in Transition: The Dutch Experience,”sponsored By GLAFS and co-sponsored by The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands was hosted on October 29th in the auditorium of Faculty of Engineering Building #11 on Hongo Campus. The theme of the First Session was “New ideas for caring for frail older people in the community.” A presentation by Prof. Dr. Rudy Westendorp and Prof. Dr. Jacques Allegro kicked off with the correlation between health and vitality and the need to reconstruct the modern innovative neighborhood. Jos de Blok, the founder of Buurtzorg, a private organization offering home care services, delivered a presentation entitled “Buurtzorg: A sustainable Community Care Model” and explained its organization and philosophy. Satoko Hotta, Researcher from The Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training, gave a presentation entitled “Our challenges for community-based integrated care: Lessons from Buurtzorg” and stressed the orientation of Buurtzorg in the transition period of care-offering frameworks in the Netherlands and the various implications of Buurtzorg. “Innovative insights and new technologies for active and healthy aging” was discussed in the 2nd session. Prof. Gerjan Navis reported on the impact of the concept of healthy aging on clinical medicine and the need for collaboration on “Concepts for Lifestyle Improvement.” Representatives Of Universities in the Netherlands, companies, and the medical sector also made presentations. At the end of each session there were lively discussions between presenters and participants. It turned out to be a thought-provoking and stimulating symposium.
