第５回イヴニングサロン開催のお知らせ

11月25日のイヴニングサロンは、GLAFSコース生の内山瑛美子さん（修士１年）と松本博成さん（修士1年）に話題提供をしていただきます。 事前の参加申込み等は不要ですので、夕食がてら報告を聞き、楽しく議論したいと少しでも思われる方は、お誘い合わせの上、当日の19時にライブラリにいらしてください。

概要 テーマ（１）「福祉施設の在り方とは（介護等体験を終えて）」内山瑛美子さん（情報理工学系研究科　修士1年） 現在、小中学校の教員免許取得時には社会福祉施設で５日間、特別支援学校で２日間の介護等体験を行うことが必要です。介護等体験は介護実習とは異なり、介護の技術の習得を目指すものではないので体験内容はボランティア活動で行われることをイメージしてもらえるとわかりやすいかと思います。今回、私は荒川区の西尾久東部在宅高齢者通所サービスセンターさんにて５日間の介護等体験をさせていただきました。体験内容は主に利用者さんの食事の配膳やレクリエーションの参加、話し相手などです。介護系・医療系を専門としていない立場から見た福祉施設の様子や、スタッフさんとのお話、利用者さんとのお話から考えたことを報告させていただきます。今回の報告から発展させて、どのような福祉施設が高齢者、あるいは社会にとって必要とされていくのかについてみなさまとお話できればと思います。

概要 テーマ（２）「大槌町で感じたCBPRの可能性」松本博成さん（医学系研究科　修士1年） 近年、公衆衛生分野ではCBPR(Community-Based Participatory Research)と呼ばれる考え方が登場しています。CBPRとは「研究プロセスに関係するパートナーを全て公正に参加させ、各々が有する独自の強みを活かす、協働的アプローチ」のことで、国内の地域保健活動にも導入されつつあります。私は今夏、GLAFSフィールド演習の一環として、大槌町で行われたコミュニティ居住環境点検に参加してきました。その中で、一連の研究プロジェクトがCBPRとして捉えることが出来ると思いました。そこで、IOG/GLAFS全体の取り組みにも示唆を得ることを目的として、 米国で発展してきたCBPRに照らし合わせつつ大槌プロジェクトを振り返ることで、みなさまと一緒に考えてみたいと思います。

Theme #1
“What should welfare facilities be like (following nursing care experience)?” by Emiko Uchiyama, 1st year master student the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology
Brief Overview
Currently, studying for a teaching certificate for elementary and junior high school levels requires five days of experience with nursing care at welfare institutions and two days of experience at a special needs school.
The nursing care experience is not intended to provide students with nursing care skills and is different from care practice (where participants can gain an understanding of activities through volunteer practices). I did my nursing care experience over five days at Nishi-Ogutobu day care service center for the elderly in Arakawa ward. I did volunteer work which included setting the table, joining recreation activities, and talking to elderly people. My report will include details about what the facility is like from the perspective of someone who not a healthcare professional. I will also share my feelings about talking with staff and day care center users. I would like to discuss what kinds of welfare institutions are needed for the elderly and for society as a whole.

Theme #2
“The possibility of CBPR at Otsuchicho” by Hironari Matsumoto, 1st year master student at the Graduate School of Medicine
Recently, in the field of public health, Community-Based Participatory Research (referred to as CBPR) is growing more prevalent. CBPR is a cooperative approach which allows all individuals involved in research processes to participate fairly while taking advantage of the strengths of each individual. It is now in the process of being introduced in domestic community healthcare activities. This summer, as part of GLAFS field training, I participated in a community housing environment inspection in Otsuchicho. I felt that a series of research projects could be regarded as CBPR, and in an effort to offer numerous suggestions to the IOG/GLAFS overall addresses, I would like to put heads together with you by reflecting on the Otsuchicho projects in light of CBPR that has been developed in the U.S.
