岩手県大槌町フィールド演習リポート

8月22日～23日、29日～31日、9月5日～7日の全8日間の日程で、東日本大震災で被災した岩手県上閉伊郡大槌町、及び釜石市平田地区の仮設住宅団地で調査活動を行いました。震災以降、同地域で研究活動を継続してきたチームに同行し、GLAFSからは29名（特任助教8名、特任研究員等5名、修士課程大学院生11名、博士課程大学院生4名、聴講生1名）が参加。
高齢者をはじめとした住民の皆さんと積極的に触れ合いながら、暮らしの課題等について共に考える機会となりました。

移動！暮らし保健室

高齢者の関心の高い健康をテーマに、血圧測定やストレスチェック、体組成計測などの簡単な健康チェックを行いました。

住環境点検

フォーカスグループインタビューを行い、団地の暮らしやすさ、暮らしにくさをチェック。

この3年間で変わったことや困っていることなどについて、住民の皆さんと話し合いました。

発表会兼懇談会

住環境点検の結果を踏まえて、住民自身でできることなどを話し合いました。

食事をしながらの打ち解けた雰囲気で会話も弾み、交流が深まりました。

Field training report: Otsuchicho, Iwate Prefecture

Research activities were conducted at temporary housing units in Kamiheigun Otsuchicho, Iwate Prefecture, and Heita district in Kamaishi City from August 22nd to 23rd, 29th to 31st, and from September 5th to 7th. 29 GLAFS members participated, including 8 Project Professors, 5 Project Researchers, 11 masters students, and 1 audit student, accompanying the team conducting research activities after the earthquake.
It was a good opportunity to get to know the residents (which included elderly individuals), and to think about the challenges facing their daily lives.

Move! Health Checkup

Basic physical checkups which are common among elderly individuals (such as blood pressure, stress, and body composition) were conducted

Living Environment Checkup

A focus group interview was conducted.
Things which made it easy and difficult to live in the temporary housing complex were checked.

We discussed what had changed and what had troubled them during the last three years.

Workshop and Social Gathering

Based on the outcome of the living environment checkups, we discussed what residents themselves are able to do.

Through the workshop and social gathering, we got to know the residents well, opened up to one another, and deepened exchanges.

We also visited Horai Island, which is supposedly a model for the TV Program “Hyokkori Hyotanjima.”
