Following the results of an October 2014 large-scale study conducted in Kashiwa aiming to prevent sarcopenia-related frailty, the Integrated Health Promotion Program, which implements checkups at salons for the elderly, began this year in Kashiwa city. A report about the program appeared in the morning edition of Asahi Newspaper on April 7, 2015. The program focuses not only on health (diet and oral functions) and exercise but also the importance of social participation. The program is intended to improve social participation. |
