Presenter: Ryo Nishikawa “Agricube,” a plant cultivation unit, is a facility which The University of Tokyo installed in the Toyoshikidai Housing Complex in collaboration with Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. and the Urban Renaissance Agency to cultivate green vegetables indoors. As part of research into new career models for senior citizens in the community, senior staff were in charge of growing the vegetables and established a process for gathering vegetables on a daily basis. Fresh vegetables newly harvested from the Agricube were available at the event. Participants who ate vegetables remarked they were “delicious!” |

Discussions were very lively (perhaps because participants were provided with tasty vegetables). |
