柏キャンパスを板橋区・地域デザインフォーラムが見学

柏市と同じように高齢化がすすむ東京都板橋区では、大東文化大学と区が共同して地域デザインフォーラムを立ち上げ、地域課題について共同研究を行っています。そのメンバーを中心としたグループが、高齢社会総合研究機構の柏キャンパスと豊四季台団地を見学に訪れました。
	柏キャンパス第２総合研究棟1階には、機構がこれまでに取り組んできた研究活動が一目でわかるように、パネルが常設展示されている。板橋区地域デザインフォーラムの方々に機構の取り組みを解説する鎌田教授。
	研究棟内には電動車いすや高齢者向けのシニアカーほか、さまざまな福祉機器が展示され、試乗もできるようになっている。
	高齢者や車椅子を利用する人に簡単な家事動作などのシミュレーションをしてもらい、実験・測定・評価をする「模擬住宅」。研究棟の一室がまるごと一軒の家のような作りになっている。
	高齢者には最適な近距離移動手段、一人乗り電気自動車コムス。鎌田研が改造した二人乗りコムスは公道走行認定を受けて、ニュースになった。
	柏市とUR都市機構、東京大学の３者が共同して始めた「生きがい就労」プロジェクト（身近な地域で無理なく働き、かつ地域の課題解決に貢献できる場をまちに創造することを目指した取り組み）のひとつ、植物工場ユニット「アグリキューブ」。地域の高齢者が毎日野菜の手入れに訪れる。地域連携型フィールド演習の場となる予定だ。
	板橋区の視察団からは、「『生きがい就労』を運営していくにあたってのノウハウを教えてほしい」「就労という言葉を使うと男性が家の外に出やすくなるのか」など、具体的な質問が。写真は、「昭和」の面影が色濃く残る豊四季台団地のセンター地区。

Itabashi ward, whose population has been aging rapidly, has initiated a regional design forum in collaboration with Daito Bunka University and has been conducting the joint research. Members of the joint research team visited the IOG Kashiwa campus and the Toyoshikidai Apartment Complex.

	There are various welfare device exhibitions such as mobility scooters and cars for the elderly, which are available for test drives.
	A simulated house for the elderly individuals and wheel chair users allows for simulation of house-keeping activities, which helps investigators to conduct experiments, research, and make evaluations. The room in Research Complex 2 is made like a regular house.
	Devices for moving short distances which are most suitable for the elderly are single passenger electric vehicles. The two seated “COMS” vehicle, remodeled by Kamata lab, made news after being approved for street driving.
	A joint project by Kashiwa City, the Urban Renaissance Agency, and The University of Tokyo called “New Career Opportunities for the Elderly” incorporates a plant factory unit called “Agricube” to contribute to the regional issues to be solved. “Agricube” is planned as an exercise in regional cooperation.
	A group of inspectors from Itabashi Ward made specific inquiries about the “New Career Opportunities for the Elderly” project and about the possibility of using the term “job opportunities” as a way to encourage male citizens to join in the activities.
